Approx 10 mile trail run to raise money for Air Ambulance, Croft Community groups for older residents and vulnerable residents, and Chernobyl Children's Project UK.

Starting in the rural village of Croft, the route will be using the public footpaths and bridleways through farmland in the local areas surrounding Croft Village.

Participants will be provided with a route map and description via email pre event, as it is self navigating, but there will be lots of course markers along the way, and the route will of course be taking you over Croft Hill!

There will be a checkpoint on route offering cakes and drinks, and also at the end all participants will be provided with a hotdog, more cakes to choose from, soft drinks, and a medal. Hot drinks will be available for £1

There are two short road sections, one at the start in Croft, and the second through Stoney Stanton, otherwise the route is all off road.

This is just a fun challenge and not a race, the idea is purely to raise money for charity and have a fun time running through the countryside and exploring new areas whilst doing so. And of course, eating cake!

The event will start and finish at Aggregate Industries Site, with the large AllTruck Garden adjacent being the refreshments area. The Heathcote Arms is a stones throw away for anyone wishing to treat themselves to a well deserved pint after the event.

It should be noted that all participants are responsible for their own welfare and safety. There are roads to cross and also a rail crossing. IF YOU CAN SEE A TRAIN YOU DO NOT HAVE TIME TO CROSS! All runners participate at their own risk. We suggest participants run in pairs and carry a mobile phone in case of emergency. All participants should download the What3Words app, to aid locating them in the event of an emergency. The organisers take no responsibility for runners ignoring organiser/Marshals instruction or diverting from the route as laid out in the event instructions.

Following feedback from previous years, there will be a 1 hour start window 8.30am-9.30am for runners to arrive, register, and start running as suits them. Also further to the feedback, we will not be timing the event, people stated they enjoyed not having the pressure of a race and instead being able to enjoy the beautiful scenery (and cakes) with friends. This is, and always has been, a challenge not a race!

Free parking is available behind Croft church in both the Aggregate Industries Car Park and the All Truck Car Park, LE9 3GT Free parking is Also available at Riverside Court, on Station Road, LE9 3EL. Please do not park on the roads in the Village. Please car share wherever possible.
